AI in Society: Safety, Regulation, Fairness

I coordinate the BSc AI course AI in Society, which examines the societal implications of artificial intelligence. The course covers topics like algorithmic fairness, AI regulation (including the EU AI Act), safety and alignment, and the broader societal impact of AI systems.

I believe computer scientists have a responsibility to engage with these questions, and to bring a technical perspective to debates that are often dominated by non-technical voices.
